Walker

Born: 2004

Walker is the kind of horse who wins you over the moment you meet him. A 22-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse with a heart as big as his stride, he came to us a few months ago through an owner surrender. His previous owner was going through a tough time and wanted to make sure he found a loving, permanent home—and we’re so grateful she trusted us with him.

From the moment he stepped off the trailer, Walker fit right in. He’s got an easygoing spirit, a smooth-as-silk ride, and a personality that makes everyone smile. Whether he’s soaking up attention, leaning in for scratches, or hoping someone might share a sip of beer (one of his favorite treats!), he’s always the center of good vibes around the barn.

Despite his age, Walker still moves with grace and confidence, showing off that signature Tennessee Walker gait that makes him a joy to ride. He’s gentle, dependable, and hasn’t shown even a hint of bad behavior—traits that make him a perfect fit as one of our lesson horses.

Walker may be a newer addition to our herd, but it feels like he’s been part of the family forever. His kind eyes, steady nature, and love for simple pleasures remind us every day why we do what we do.

Titan

Born: 2012

Titan is our true gentle giant Off-Track Thoroughbred standing just shy of 17 hands tall. Before joining us, he had a successful racing career, earning around $30,000 on the track before retiring to a quieter life. He came to us as an owner surrender when his previous owner, going through a divorce, wanted to ensure he found a safe and loving home.

From the very beginning, Titan showed us just how special he is. Despite his size, he’s as gentle as they come—dog-soft in demeanor and endlessly patient. He loves people and seems to know exactly when someone needs a calm, reassuring presence.

When Titan arrived, he was struggling with chronic and severe abscess issues that we’ve been carefully managing. Because of that, he hasn’t been ridden yet while we focus on his recovery and comfort. Once he’s fully sound, we’ll evaluate whether he’s ready to join our lesson program or if he’d be happier as a 4-H project horse or with a new family who fits him perfectly.

Through it all, Titan has been nothing but gracious and patient, even when I’m fussing with his feet yet again. His kindness, heart, and quiet strength make him an absolute joy to have in the barn.

Roxy

Born: 2009

Roxy holds a special place in my heart—she’s the first horse I ever bought with true intention. Most of my horses before her were the ones I happened upon or rescued, but Roxy was different. I searched for her. I looked at countless horses, brought along a trainer, and knew exactly what I was looking for.

When I found Roxy, she was just a yearling, bright-eyed and full of potential. I purchased her directly from her breeder and did all of her training myself until she was about five or six years old. Around that time, life took me in a new direction—I was starting a new career and moving to another state. Wanting to keep her progressing, I sent her to a trusted trainer friend, who helped her refine her collection, spins, and rollbacks.

Once her training was complete, Roxy joined me in Washington, where she settled into life beautifully. But after I had my first child, I realized I couldn’t give her the time and attention she truly deserved. In 2017, I made the difficult decision to sell her.

Almost immediately, I knew I’d made a mistake. I missed her deeply—her personality, her try, her quiet confidence. Every year, I reached out to her new owners, hoping that one day they might consider selling her back. They loved her too, though, and she stayed with them happily for years.

Then, in 2023, I got the message I had dreamed of: her owners were getting out of horses and wondered if I wanted Roxy back. Of course, my answer was yes.

Since coming home, Roxy has been my steady trail companion and, in 2024–2025, became a beloved 4-H horse project. She’s still the same—sometimes a little sassy, always dependable, and endlessly kind to her riders.

Roxy is, without question, my heart horse. She’ll be with me for the rest of her days.

Cracker

Born: 2002

Cracker is proof that great things come in small packages. A beautiful, blue-eyed American Miniature Horse in her mid-twenties, she’s the definition of a perfect pony—steady, gentle, and absolutely full of heart. With her striking paint coat and friendly personality, she’s the kind of pony who instantly wins everyone over, whether they’re meeting her for the first time or have known her for years.

Cracker loves attention and is happiest when she’s surrounded by her people. She’s the go-to pony for youth in 4-H and open shows, where she shines in showmanship, in-hand trail, and even in-hand jumping. No matter the event, she always gives her best and makes sure her young handlers feel confident and proud.

One of Cracker’s greatest gifts is her patience—anyone can work with her, and she’s especially loved by those who might feel intimidated by larger horses. She helps them build trust, learn skills, and discover just how rewarding the world of horses can be. Though she’s only rideable by very small children (around 35 pounds and under), she has an even bigger role as a teacher, a confidence-builder, and a friend to all who meet her.

Cracker may be small, but her heart and spirit fill the whole barn. She’s truly everyone’s favorite and an irreplaceable part of our herd.
